i wanted to create my own version of a scene from episode 4. my real plan was to draw them during an actual fight, but i failed to think for an action pose and ended up drawing them in the provoking stage. i gave Russia a halberd because i think he needs a weapon to defend himself.
i always see Gilbert as an awesome-badass guy, but in this episode, i was on Ivan's side. poor kid, going through tough times. despite that Russia was being bullied by Prussia when they were kids, he still saved him (i find that sweet ok)...but then he strangled Prussia after XD this is why i love this two, they have an interesting history together and not because 'like OMG! two hot guys, i'm gonna pair them!'
finally i'm able to draw them in fighting mode, but my dream RusPru art is on a battlefield during ww2. (*sigh*...only in dreams) this was done quickly, speedpaint background on cs5. these are 2 separate drawings, i just merged it. i just imagine Prussia would say those words to Russia when they grow up *TUMBLR commission info thanks for viewing, comments and faves are greatly appreciated. please don't steal or claim my fanarts as yours. thank you.
Battle of the Ice ... was sunk in the lake Teutonic army ... And under what circumstances? and anything that on the lake bottom was lying (and lies now) only a part of this army ... Smart-ass prince, Saint Alexander Nevsky, previously bathed in the river Neva army of Swedes (for which he received his nickname "Nevsky"), crafted Russian troops were in such a way that a grand plan Teutons, who had previously worked, failed ... and they had to retreat ... Well, when they were retreating ice cracked under them .... It was in April ... leaky ice ... the most sluggish of the army drowned ... and still lies there
Well, for reference only ... this is Russian armor of that time: [link]
and in Russia, up to the 17th century, there were shirts with thingies and boleros D
oh ... how difficult it is to translated... "and in Russia, up to the 17th century, there were shirts with thingies and boleros" - right "there was no shirts with thingies and boleros".... lost excuse "no"
Actually, my personal reason why I paired them together at first it's because of their almost SAME names, similarities and what do they have in common, but still my OTP. I was thrilled when I finally saw them interact directly for the first time!
